Sadhguru is Guru or Brainwasher !

Recently, the TN High Court ordered the TN government to submit all the reports of criminal cases against Isha Foundation and Sadhguru while listening to a habeas corpus petition filed by Mr Kamraj, a retired professor from Coimbatore, for forcibly making his two daughters monks at Isha Yoga Center and not allowing them to keep in touch with their family. After this order, 150 policemen visited the Isha Yoga Center to investigate further.

What is the issue? 

Mr Kamraj, a retired professor from Tamilnadu, filed a petition against Sadhguru and Isha Foundation, saying that they are not allowing them to connect with his daughters, Geeta Kamraj and Lata Kamraj. Now, both are living at Isha Yoga Center as monks. Geeta Kamraj is the elder daughter; she completed a post-graduate degree in mechatronics at a prestigious UK university and earned a high salary before her divorce in 2008. After that, she started coming to isha to attend yoga classes and then became a full-time volunteer at the Isha Foundation. Then, her younger sister also followed the same path and became a full-time volunteer at Isha. Before joining the volunteering, Lata was a software engineer and was earning a very good amount.  After a few years of volunteering, she applied for Brahmcharya or monkhood but had to wait because accepting the application was very difficult. Sadhguru mentioned somewhere that there are hundreds of applications for the monkhood or brahmacharya in Isha. Still, the selection process is very rigorous and depends on various parameters, and the selection rate is even below 3-4%, a fact that many may not be aware of. 

Both sisters, Geeta and Lata, demonstrated unwavering commitment and dedication to their chosen path. They willingly embraced the monkhood, with Geeta adopting the name Maa Mayu and Lata becoming Maa Mati. This tradition in Bharat, where one must relinquish all aspects of their former identity upon choosing the path of monkhood, was willingly accepted by these sisters. Their resolute choice and steadfast commitment to this path is something that commands respect. 

However, one day, her parents visited the Isha yoga centre and asked the administration to give them access to meet her daughters. They faced little difficulty in that process, but both monks told her parents that she was living with her own will and happiness, and she wanted to pursue this life on this path only.

Then, the whole issue began to happen, and Mr Kamraj filed a petition in the TN High Court alleging that Isha Foundation and Sadhguru brainwashed his daughter's mind and forced them to stay there. This happened in 2015-16, and after that, both monks replied with a video that is available on YouTube stating that they are here with their own will and happiness, not forced to take Sanyasa or monkhood even initially; they encourage us to marry but when we saw the way Sadhguru is conducting everything in such a fantastic way and in that the contribution of the monks. We decided to take the Sanyasa and support Sadhguru's vision of giving everyone a drop of spirituality. Now we are happy to choose this because we know we can’t do anything better than this in this life.

Again, in 2024, the TN court, while listening to the petition, ordered the TN government to explain all the criminal allegations against Sadhguru and Isha Foundation. After that, 150 policemen raided the Isha premises and enquired about the allegations.
