Bhastrika Kriya Tutorial
Learn from Sadhguru about the benefits of practicing Pranayama daily, including the mechanics of breathing and how it can positively impact your physical and mental health.
Bhastrika Kriya
This is a type of pranayama. So, what does pranayama mean? Prana means the basic life energies within us, and Yama means control. Pranayama, therefore, means controlling prana.
You may have noticed a direct connection between your breath and your mental state. The way you breathe reflects the way you think. This process is especially beneficial for those suffering from asthma, allergies, sinusitis, diabetes, hormonal imbalances, and skin diseases.
Sadhguru designed this process so that after practicing for some time, you will understand the mechanics of breathing and can alter your breath. Generally, healthy individuals breathe 16 breaths per minute. As you practice more, your breathing can become slower, reaching a level where you are breathing only 4 breaths per minute.
As your breath becomes shallower and deeper, your perception will increase, and you will become more conscious.
